Directors Vision.

From the beginning, I wanted the tone and direction of the film to be like something straight out of the 80s. Not simply for its aesthetic, but to capture the pure adventure and mystery that I don’t find in modern films. I took elements of what resonated with me as a child movie-goer and infused that into an original story I couldn’t let go of. Whilst films of this genre are often based in the US, Stargazers is set in the Sussex countryside making for an intriguing backdrop and unique take on the stereotype. We encouraged many practical effects to pay homage and create that familiar look. But at it’s heart, it’s just a story about two best friends and the lengths they’ll go to stick together… - Jonathan Brooks
